The centre of the square is the Millennium Monument designed by Architect Albert Schickedanz and Sculptor György Zala. Above the sculpture representing the greatest persons of Hungarian history we can admire Archangel Gabriel, the statue of which won the grand prize of the 1900 Paris World's Fair.
